As part of this year's program, SEETEST 2026 will host a full-day pre-conference course dedicated to QA leadership in an era of rapid AI adoption. The course, "Leading QA in the Age of AI: Building Modern Quality Organizations" will take place on October 5, the day before the conference officially opens, onsite at Four Points by Sheraton Ljubljana Mons in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The course will be led by Barış Sarıalioğlu, Managing Partner of TesterYou. A software engineer, digital transformation consultant, author, and international keynote speaker, Barış brings more than 24 years of experience in software development, quality engineering, agility, product management, and artificial intelligence. He has led global teams and transformation initiatives across industries including banking, telecommunications, automotive, defense, aviation, insurance, and e-commerce, and as Managing Partner of TesterYou, he helps organizations bridge technology, business, and human-centered innovation. He has delivered keynote speeches and workshops in more than 50 countries and is a member of the ISTQB General Assembly, actively contributing to the advancement of the global software testing profession. His work combines engineering, science, art, and emerging technologies to challenge conventional thinking about quality, innovation, and the future of software.

The course covers topics such as why traditional QA organizations are struggling in the AI era, and the evolution from testing teams to quality engineering organizations. Participants will explore building a modern quality culture across product and engineering teams, leadership challenges in AI-driven software development, quality ownership, collaboration, and cross-functional alignment, and modern test automation strategy paired with sustainable engineering practices. The course also addresses metrics that drive decisions instead of vanity reporting, AI augmentation for testers, engineers, and managers, organizational design, roles, and capability transformation, balancing speed, innovation, risk, and governance, practical transformation patterns from real industry cases, and future trends shaping the next generation of quality leadership.
